這個已經被驗證的驅動是一個面向比特的保護電腦和數據終端
之間的數據傳輸安全的同步傳輸協議。它同時支持點對點和多
點操作。有兩個可用的版本:
HDLC UNC-2
HDLC UNC-2工作在NRM(normal-response-mode),符合
DIN 66221 part 3,并且具有一下特征:半雙工主從操作。在主站操作,多于30個的從站可以被定址。主站和從站的站點地址可任意配置。

HDLC BAC 2.8
HDLC BAC 2.8工作在符合DIN 66222的ABM(asynchronous balanced mode)模式。它以全雙工的方式支持兩個相似站點之間的點對點連接。該協議版本對應于符合ITU的LAP-B,并且支持在第二層中直接訪問包交換網絡。這個驅動已經通過了符合NET2的認證。
