netPLC names the netX network controller based product line that combines Fieldbus master and PLC functionality in a single chip, integrated on a ready-to-use and autonomously operating hardware.

Whether PC card or module, for customers netPLC provides the full comfort of a classic "hard" PLC paired with the range of well-recognized and proven soft PLCs. The additional provision of PROFIBUS-DP master functionality allows a safe and independent control of decentralized peripherals.

netPLC is flexible - IEC-61131 or S7 standard as desired

netPLC supports CoDeSys SP and ProConOS eCLR as IEC-61131 or IBHsoftec PLC as S7 compatible logic controllers for free choice. All standard programming environments retain, there is no need to learn other tools. Programming is done with the familiar programming interfaces CoDeSys, MULTIPROG or STEP7 still.

netPLC is reliable - Use of well-tried protocol stacks and recognized soft PLCs

netPLC combines proven soft PLCs used abroad together with fieldbus protocol stacks tested a thousand times on standard PC cards into a single chip. The combination is making netPLC a reliable partner for control tasks with high demand for availability and reliability. The single-chip solution is much less prone to error than for example a PC with all its countless components can ever be.

netPLC is dependable – Additional powering against voltage drops

netPLC can be supplied with an additional and independent power supply. This makes the use of netPLC safe against any voltage drops of the primary power source. The controlled process remains unimpeded and continues operation, which ensures high availability of the operated plant at any time.

netPLC is fast replaceable – Memory-card for configuration exchange

netPLC features a memory card slot allowing the use of mobile memory cards to store all netPLC data to. In case of a hardware failure the insertion of the loaded memory card into a spare unit transfers the data to it in seconds to regain an operational state. This gives maintenance staff a significant time advantage during an outage while getting the system re-operative.

netPLC is secure - Battery buffered real-time clock and data

netPLC buffers real-time clock and a 256kByte RAM by battery. The retentive data is available even after a total loss of power. This allows saving important values such as time, manufactured units or special volatile key states of the controlled process to survive a power off.
